Partners in HOPE
Suzanne Wilcox and Katie Wetherbee met while volunteering in their local school system. Both women are mothers of special needs children. Inspired by the need for parent support services, they created HOPE. Mrs. Wilcox and Mrs. Wetherbee, along with their associates, have been helping parents since 2002.
Katie Wetherbee
Mrs. Wetherbee completed her undergraduate work at Vanderbilt University, where she majored in Special Education and Human and Organizational Development. She began her teaching career in the Washington, DC area, working at a public school. She has also worked in a hospital setting, as well as teaching continuing education courses at a community college. Mrs. Wetherbee holds a master's degree in education from Hood College, where she served on the adjunct faculty for the Reading Specialist program. She and her husband have two children.
Suzanne Wilcox
After studying Communication Sciences at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Mrs. Wilcox pursued a career in business. She started her own real estate practice and has also had wide experience in management and sales. Most recently, Mrs. Wilcox was a founder of a non-profit parent education network for several public schools. She was instrumental in special education reform in her district and she is a popular speaker at parent group meetings. Mrs. Wilcox lives with her husband and four children.
